Held every two years in Wellington, Japan Festival brings together the city’s Japanese community, visiting experts and performers to celebrate Wellington’s proud international relations with Japan and share all the delights Japanese culture—both old and new—has to offer.
Event – Matsuri Japan Festival
When: Saturday 8th of December Where: Tumbalong Park, Darling Harbour, Sydney
Matsuri is the biggest Japanese event in Sydney! Hosted annually in Darling Harbour, this
spirited festival offers amazing attractions that include Japanese food stalls, a beer garden and exhibition booths showcasing traditional arts and cultural experiences such as Japanese calligraphy and flower arrangement. Come on down!
Event – Japan Day 2019
When: Sunday 3rd of March Where: Eden Park, Auckland, NZ
Japan Day is New Zealand’s largest Japanese festival, with tens of thousands of visitors attending every year. Inaugurated in 2001, Japan Day is a fun day in the sun for all to experience ‘Japan away from Japan’ and take in the sights, smells and flavours of the country’s unique culture.
